North Africa's tallest waterfall (100m+), reached via a scenic 2.5-hour drive through olive groves and Berber villages. A guided hike leads down through terraced olive trees to the base of the falls, where wild Barbary macaques are a regular sight.
An optional boat ride gets you right up to the base of the cascade for the classic photo, with free time to swim (seasonal) or relax at a riverside café before the hike back up.
This is one of our longer day trips at around 5 hours of driving round trip — pack snacks and water for the journey, and be ready for an early pickup.

Swimming is possible in warmer months in the pools below the falls, at your own risk. Bring a swimsuit and a quick-dry towel if you'd like the option.
The descent to the base is on a well-used dirt path with some steps — moderate effort, comfortable shoes recommended. The return climb is the harder part.
The Barbary macaques are wild but generally used to visitors. Don't feed them or carry food in open bags, and keep a respectful distance.
