The route winds from the chaos of Jemaa el-Fnaa square through the covered souks (spices, dyers, leather, lanterns), past the 19th-century Bahia Palace, the iconic Koutoubia Mosque minaret, and the beautifully restored Saadian Tombs.

How much walking is involved?
Around 3 km at an easy pace over 2.5–3 hours, with regular stops. Comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes are recommended for the uneven medina lanes.
Is this suitable for children or older travelers?
Yes — the pace is relaxed with plenty of stops, though the medina can be crowded and streets are cobbled/uneven in places.
Can I combine this with another day trip?
Yes — many travelers do this walking tour on arrival day, then a longer trip like Agafay Desert or Ourika Valley later in their stay.
Do I need to pay any entrance fees on the day?
Yes, a small combined fee (~€7) for the Bahia Palace and Saadian Tombs is payable on-site in cash — this isn't included in the trip price.
